Castalia Wins Award for Plain English Writing

Castalia was selected as the "Best Organisation" at the New Zealand Plain English Awards, held in Wellington on Friday, 16 November 2007. As the winner of this award, Castalia received plain English consultancy and editing services to the value of $10,000 from Write Group Ltd. Castalia is using the prize on a specific plain English project designed to produce measurable results in time savings and further building the company's skills in plain english writing.

Castalia Manager, Anton Murashev, recieved the award on behalf of Castalia, stating that ‘We are honoured to receive the award. Castalia staff in Wellington, Washington D.C., and Sydney work hard to keep the English in our reports plain and simple, even though the concepts dealt with are anything but. We are pleased to have the hard work of our staff recognised. We believe that plain English is a key reason why, in New Zealand and internationally, corporations, governments and multilateral financing agencies come to Castalia for advice on issues crucial to economic development and business value.’
