Getting the Most from High-speed Broadband

The New Zealand Government wants to achieve a “step change” to significantly increase New Zealand’s productivity, leading to a stronger economy and higher wages. Fast, reliable broadband can help to realise this goal. Castalia was jointly commissioned by Telecom, TelstraClear, and Vodafone to consider policy options for raising productivity through greater use of fast broadband in New Zealand. This report seeks inform the debate on how best to deliver better broadband for New Zealanders, and to contribute to the formulation of detailed policies in this area.
