Castalia Assists with Water Contract in Haiti

Castalia assisted the Government of Haiti and donors in preparing a contract and competitively selecting a consortium to help improve the management and delivery of water and wastewater services in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Castalia's assistance started several months after the disastrous earthquake that hit the city in January 2010. During nine months, Castalia assisted the Government, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Spanish cooperation agency (AECID) in every step of the contract design and of a transparent and thorough procurement process until the final steps of the negotiation and contract signing. The winning consortium is led by Suez-Lyonnaise de Eaux and also includes Agbar and United Water. The contract is for three years. To read more about our work, click here.
